Though the story line was excellent the author should have found a better editor and proof traded for the text. There were so many errors in the text that it detracted from the story line . On many occasions when Rick was speaking to Percy the line would read Rick said and Rick replied. The same was true when Percy spoke to Rick. If the reader wasn't reading carefully they would think the characters were talking to themselves. There were also several typos and some incorrect sentence structure. The author had a good message and story line but poor editing detracted from from the overall experience. What should have been a 5 stars rating was a 3 star at best for poor editingE

Not what I expected from the preview and with the grammatical errors, simply not worth the time to read. I found the characters confused, a bit unrealistic, and not all that interesting.
The story was well written, and the characters had a life-like quality to them. Also, the story itself was not cookie-cutter like so many out there. The plot had just a little something different to it.
Super storyline. Very thought-provoking. However, I was disturbed that . God was not capitalized throughout the book. Is the author not religiously inclined?
This book had a blend of Christian and gay elements. Definitely for adults. If you find homosexual content offensive this might not be the book for you. Overall, though, the Christian element stood out which I think was a plus. The book is not pornographic, but risque.
One word Fantastic. A story of Rick a student of the church helps a boy whom was beaten outside the grounds. Rick meets Percy together both help Nate with his life. A truly heart reaching beautiful story.
Very earnest, sincere, and makes two points. One, about how religion misinterprets the bible to oppress gay people. Two, how gay children are often seen as disposable by intolerant family members. Squeezed in rather awkwardly is a first time romance.
Normally I like pretty much all the books I buy , and I've never written a review before but I felt compelled to write this one . This Author seems very hesitant to write anything that might offend any reader, he steers clear of using any slang terms or four letter words i.e. instead of saying "cock" or "dick" he constantly refers to it as "member" he even peppers throughout the book instead of saying (for instance) the guys he writes the 2( or 3)" young men" its like he just got out of etiquette school or something! all in all it left me wanting. Was he trying to impress his grandmother? because he sure fell far from the mark with this one
